Become a Contestant

The 2012 Miss District of Columbia Pageant will take place on June 17, 2012 at the University of the District of Columbia. Please read the eligibility requirements carefully in order to ensure that you are eligible for this year’s competition.

There is no entry fee to compete in the Miss DC Pageant. The winner and two runners-up will receive academic scholarships. Miss DC 2012 will represent the District of Columbia in the 2013 Miss America Pageant and will serve the Washington, D.C. community throughout the year, as a goodwill ambassador and promoter of various civic and philanthropic efforts.

Auditions

The Miss District of Columbia Organization conducts auditions in talent and interview to determine its contestants. Only those who successfully complete the auditions will be permitted to compete in the pageant. For audition schedule, contact sonyatv@aol.com.

Paperwork

Those young women who audition for this year’s pageant must complete a preliminary fact sheet: Preliminary Fact Sheet 2012 These completed fact sheets must be e-mailed to sonyatv@aol.com in order to be accepted for an audition.

In addition, all young women who audition MUST bring the completed Eligibility Checklist 2012 with them to the auditions. Note: Besides the form itself, contestants must bring COPIES of all required documents that prove eligibility. We will not be able to make copies that day and we must have copies that we can keep and review.
